Girl Chat is excited to host 'Unpacking Mental Health in South Sudanese Homes', a community forum for the South Sudanese community in Melton, as part of our Mental Health Capacity-Building Project (MHCBP). The MHCBP is proudly sponsored by VicHealth as part of its African Futures Community of Practice.
Over the past 10 months, our program participants and their mentors have been learning, growing, and reflecting on the mental health challenges within our community. They are delivering this forum to bring diverse voices together to help address these issues.Join us for powerful conversations on intergenerational trauma, family structures & gender roles and mental health in the home.
This event will feature a panel discussion with trusted and engaged community members, lunch and small break-out group conversations.
